Declaration of Core Focus in Theme or Discipline

Students must declare and complete two courses in an approved Core Focus in Theme or Discipline.

 Please note:

• Declaration of a Core Focus does not require the signature of a chair, director, or faculty advisor.
• Students may elect only one Core Focus.
• A declared double major where one major is in a department which offers a Core Focus in Discipline should be declared as the Core Focus and will satisfy the requirements.
• A declared minor or certificate program requiring two courses which may be used toward an approved Core Focus in Discipline should be declared as the Core Focus and will satisfy the requirements.
