Musical Collaboration – Dr. Krishan Oberoi and Patrick Saunders ’13
Thanks to an interdisciplinary grant from Providence College’s Office of Sponsored Research and Compliance, two faculty members are working together to write and workshop a musical in New York City. Dr. Krishan Oberoi, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, and Patrick Saunders ’13, visiting assistant professor of theatre, are collaborating on the project. The two have worked together before — in the spring, they produced “The Lost Paradise/Songs of the Second Star,” a work that included choral students participating remotely and in person. In this episode, hear an early track from the musical and learn how students will get to participate in its evolution.
