Future PC Students
The Providence College Office of Admission reviews all undergraduate applicants to Providence College. Students considering any of the four undergraduate majors (accountancy, finance, management, or marketing) within the School of Business should apply to Providence College using the Common Application. Students who are interested in the School of Business should indicate their intended major on the Providence College member page within the Common Application.

First Year/Transfer Business Majors
Students who have completed less than two semesters of college coursework
(Effective Fall 2017)
All new first year and transfer business students with less than two semesters of college coursework will need to achieve a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA in all of their coursework at the completion of two full semesters to continue in their business major sophomore year in the PCSB.
GPA reviews will take place at the end of each semester during the first two semesters of coursework only. Students deemed at risk (those with a cumulative GPA under 2.75) will receive a warning notice in January informing them of the potential for dismissal from the School of Business. Any business student who does not meet the minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA requirement at the end of the second semester of coursework will be changed to “undeclared” and will no longer be a business major, effective the summer before sophomore year.
Transfer students and first year students who enter Providence College during the spring term will also need to meet the minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA requirement to continue in the School of Business their sophomore year.
Any student who does not achieve a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA at the end of their first year at Providence College is eligible to be reevaluated for admission to the business school, and must meet the minimum 2.5 GPA requirement before the end of their second year at Providence College to declare a business major. To be eligible for reevaluation, students must submit a petition to the School of Business. Submission of a petition does not guarantee readmission.

Non-Business Majors
Students who have completed more than two but less than four semesters of college coursework
(Effective Fall 2017)
All non-business students, whether undeclared, currently non-business majors, or transfer students from outside the College, wishing to declare a business major, and whose status at Providence College is at the sophomore level (second year), must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA to enter the School of Business either through a PCSB Declaration of Major Session or through acceptance by the Providence College Office of Admission (transfer students only).
The PCSB will not accept change of major requests after second semester of sophomore year. As a result, juniors are ineligible to declare a business major. All non-business majors must register for and attend a mandatory Declaration of Major Session by February 15 of their sophomore year, and have a plan of academic study that allows for completion of degree requirements with their assigned class year. Please plan accordingly, as these sessions are only available a limited number of times per semester with limited seating.
